Cards, cards cards and a dose of the old swine flu!

Hi, Haven't posted for a while on here, I've been really poorly with swine flu all week which thankfully is now subsiding so i've started to feel more normal again. Just felt so ill! I literally couldn't do anything but lie in bed with the tv on! Yuck! Anyway finally managed to do some cards today be it in my PJ's lol!

Anyway here's the first card using my gorgeous new little Claire stamp featuring the adorable Mr Darcy! I absolutely had to have this stamp because as you know i have a little westie too!

I used: Papers: forever friends and Daisy and Dandelion

Image: stamp from Little Claire's coloured with pro markers and glittered with glitter flock

Flowers: Prima
Sentiment: Fairy Doodles
Punched leaves: woodware

Second card is using my gorgeous Mo's Digital Pencil Winter Delivery image

I used:

Papers: Papermania christmas stack
Image: Mo's Digital pencil 'Winter Delivery' coloured with watercolour pencils
Punched leaves: Woodware
Sentiment: Daisy and Dandelion

My third and fourth cards and are using my Rachelle Anne Miller Stamp which I love...

I love the colours on this one, I think the green and pink make it look really fresh and modern

I used:Papers Papermania and gemstones

Image: Rachelle Anne Miller coloured with watercolour pencils

Sentiment: Daisy and Dandelion

Flowers: Prima

Punched Leaves: Woodware

For this card i chose a blue and lilac colour scheme.

Papers: Forever friends

Image: Rachelle Anne Miller coloured with watercolour pencils

Sentiment: Anita's peel off's

Snowflakes: punched then sprinkled with glittered flocking powder

My final christmas card of the card was another using Mo's Digital Images (Siku and Shiya)

I love these papers they are so funky and really different christmas colours!

I used

papers: papermania Naughty but nice?

Image: Siku and Shiya (Mo's digital pencil) coloured with watercolour pencils

Sentiment: Daisy and Dandelion

Stars: from my stash

Wow what a long post! hope you're still awake lol... Just one more card for you and that's a thank you card for my friend at work who has been an absolute star and really helped me get a lot of jobs done... she adores baking so i thought it would be a good time to test drive my brand new Tilda with Apple Pie!

I'm not completely convinced by the card! I had trouble with the layout and the colours of paper I wanted to use so i'm not too happy with it... i just hope she will like it!

Papers: Forever Friends and Smirk plain coloured paper

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far... as you know I went to the NEC today courtesy of my lovely boyfriend, who also accompanied me (I know, how good is he?)

Anyway I had a fab time and got some amazing stash! I got my first Magnolia Tilda stamp (Tilda with apple pie) my first two Little Claire's Designs (I could have brought the entire stand because all their designs are just absolutely gorgeous!) A cute christmas stamp set and a beautiful Penny Black stamp.

I also brought two paper packs, two punches (snowflake and little branch) three packs of pro markers, an A3 cutting mat, and 9 different lots of flowers (can never have too many flowers) and finally....... wait for it....... my gorgeous boyfriend brought me a Cuttlebug for christmas!!!!! YAY cannot wait for christmas day now!

Hope those of you who went got some lovely stash too!

Rachelle Anne Miller stamp

Hi again, here's my third christmas card from yesterday, i'm really happy with the colours of this one as they're quite bright but still feel christmassy. Here's the photo anyway...

Also it's the first time I've used flowers on a christmas card and I think they look okay.

Card recipe

Image: Rachelle Anne Miller image coloured with Pro Markers with a touch of stickles glitter glue on the holly berries.

Papers: Papermania Naughty and Nice and Home for Christmas

Flowers: Hero Arts Summer Collection with gems from stash for centres

Sentiment: Daisy and Dandelion

Ribbon: from stash.

I've just finished my first christmas card order now which has pleased me no end! only 6 cards but trying to find the time to actually sit and get them done has been tricky (again that constant problem we crafters have of time!) i've got about 10 more christmas cards on order, then my own to make, then of course some to take in for work colleagues to have a look at lol! Never ends eh? I do love it I just wish there were more hours in the day...

Anyway that's it for another day, going to spend the afternoon catching up on blog hopping and with Most Haunted as I sky plussed last night's episode.

bye for now x

Mo's Digital Pencil Christmas cards

Hi bloggers, here are the two christmas cards I made yesterday with two of my latest Mo's Digital Pencil images. The first is Siku and Shiya (aren't they just gorgeous?)

Card Recipe:

Image: Siku and Shiya from Mo's Digital Pencil, coloured with Promarkers and hoods decorated with glitter flocking powder from my stash.

Papers: Daisy and Dandelion paper pack, Forever friends paper pack and gemstones

Ribbon: from my stash

Sentiment: Daisy and Dandelion

Snowflakes and Mittens: From my stash

Second card is using the Winter Delivery sketch from Mo...( another gorgeous image)

I'm really not happy with the colouring on this card, definitely need some more promarkers i think so I can give more of a blended look. At the moment it's looking too 'felt pen' like.

Card recipe

Image: Winter Delivery by Mo coloured (badly) with promarkers

Papers: Forever Friends paper pack and Papermania Naughty and Nice and Anita's mirri Card

Everything else from own stash

Hope you like them, if you have any comments or suggestions (particularly on my bad colouring) i'd be really grateful. Thanks xx

I've had the flowers for a while and have been itching to do a yellow and orange card but it kept getting forgotten so now i thought was my chance. Hello guys!

Hi it's been ages since i've posted on my blog so I thought i'd post the new cards I made yesterday on it . I've been working like crazy in my craft room this week trying to get general cards, christmas cards and Wedding Stationery completed ready for the local Autumn Fayre that i have a stall at next Sunday. It's my first stall selling my cards so I am very nervous especially as I'm not sure my cards are up to scratch! I look on Docrafts galleries regularly and see all the amazing cards that people put on and wish that mine could look like that! However i do feel that my cards are improving slowly.

So anyway me and my mum are having a stall each at the Autumn Fayre, she has a small business selling wedding hats, fascinators and flowers so she suggested i give wedding stationery a try so we could work together a bit. I've completed six complete wedding stationery sets so far so we'll just have to see I guess (fngers crossed) I'm also trying to create a selection of both everyday and christmas cards to take along as well so people can see a general overview of what i do. Anyway here's some pictures of my latest attempts... i'm sure more will be added this week... watch this space!

Tuesday 16 June 2009

I thought it was time i put some photos on my blog so here is a photo of one of my Father's Day cards. I used card from The Paper Mill and paper from Claire Curds signature range, Forever Friends Decoupage, Sentiment from the Forever Friends Sentiment packs and ribbon from my stash. Just to warn you that this is my first time talking about my cards like this so forgive me if i haven't done it correctly, i'm sure i'll get the hang of it!

Anyway hope you like it.

Sunday 14 June 2009

Sunday afternoon!

I'm currently working on my Father's day cards, i've already made 4, and now need to do the remaining 3. I'm actually really enjoying them which is unusual because i normally find men's cards really tricky. I'm finding Claire Curds range which includes the big paper pack and male stamps a real help and the Forever Friends decoupage range simply because there are so many you can use for males. The best tip i can offer when doing male cards though is to get on the blogs, particularly Do Crafts and check out what other people are doing - you can get excellent inspiration from other crafters work.

Over the course of this week i've got to try and get my brother's birthday cards done. All my family have asked me to come up with cards from each of them for him, so that's going to be a challenge, though i have already picked out some things i can use like the lap-top man from Paper Nation and Racing car images from Kanban. So fingers crossed they will turn out okay.

I'll keep you posted on how they turn out!
Hi, this is my first post on my new blog! exciting! I have been making cards for 6 months now so i would definitely say that i am still learning, but I absolutely love card making and i love the feeling you get when you finish a card and think wow i did that! I am new to blogging but am really enjoying checking out other crafter's blogs to get inspiration and ideas for my own cards.
